Mission and Vision

OUR MISSION

            Our mission is to educate academics and social studies teachers, who are respective to democratic and ethical values which our country needs for being among the developed countries, who are sensitive to environmental problems and country and world issues, who are literate in terms of science and technology, who are aware of the responsibility to educate new generations, who can renew themselves according to the requirements of the age, who are open to change and development, who consider the science as a way of life, who are confident and who follow and apply the international knowledge and is to lead the field. Another mission of the Department is to train professional educators who are in need of our country and to move the quality of the curriculum forward with the contributions of national and international groups, communities and researchers, by developing national and international cooperation in the field of Social Studies.

             Our vision is to become the best institution of Turkey in educating social studies teachers who have an important role in educating the future generations in a way of meeting the modern needs for our country to be compatible to the needs of today and to be a leading country in science and technology.
